"...Joe Pizzio... was incredible from beginning to end. Me and my husband started making couple of long playlists months before the wedding. We gathered all the songs that we really loved and the ones we had good memories with growing up: for dancing, slow dancing, reception, happy hour ... We gave Joe those lists a week before the wedding. He was so great at receiving that huge list.
I am Iranian and mu husband is American so there was a lot of International music there as well. Joe actually owned most of the music I sent him! He has a huge collection of diverse musics. we talked on the phone about what we really didn't want and what we did want and he was so great at listening to all our needs and helping us through.
On the day of wedding, he showed up dressed in a beautiful suit although it was a ver-r-r-y hot day in September. He was absolutely professional. He played everything as it was planned. He had a great sense on seamlessly mixing all these different genres that we have given him. Everyone was on the dance floor having fun. He could feel the energy so well. He coordinated with the caterers and the photographer for every single detail that was needed in the back. We didn't really want a loud DJ and Joe absolutely respected our wish. I would work with him again and again. Thank you so much for the incredible service!

His sound equipment is top notch (something people don't always think about but I wanted to make sure because I recently been to a few friends weddings and their DJ's sound system wasn't the best)

My husband and I had a pretty non-traditional wedding and we also gave Joe a list of a ton of songs we wanted him to play. He was so cool about both aspects. "We had Joe as the DJ for our wedding. We met with him beforehand to go over the details for the evening and the floor plan of the building. He was very easy to work with. He had no issue shortening some of the songs that we had picked. He checked in with me throughout the night to keep moving through the timeline that I had set out for the evening. When I requested certain songs he played them ASAP. We asked for certain songs and artists to not be played, and he did not play them... He was not overpowering like most DJs I looked at...".

“When my husband-to-be and I were looking into music for our wedding, we were pretty settled on just using an iPod and basic PA system. Some family members persuaded us to check out DJ options, and we're glad that we did -- it was one of the best wedding choices we made. From the start, Joe was a fantastic fit -- he was extremely friendly, very easy to communicate with and was very laid back -- exactly what we were looking for.
Before the wedding, we filled out a worksheet that detailed song requests for first dances, any special requests, and overall what kind of music we would like throughout the reception. We also sent Joe a timeline of our entire wedding day and chatted with him for 15 minutes about a week before the big day.
On the wedding day, Joe came early to set up before our ceremony. We used his sound system for the ceremony itself and he took care of the processional and recessional music. Immediately following the wedding, he played the cocktail hour and the reception, mixing our requests, guest requests and some of his own choices perfectly. As requested, he was fairly quiet, just announcing events throughout the night such as the beginning of dinner and the cake cutting
What I loved most about having Joe as our DJ (aside from the great music!) was how well he communicated with us throughout the evening. We had a very DIY wedding and Joe took charge of the timeline, making sure that things like special dances, toasts and cutting the cake happened on time. We pushed a few things back due to the flow of the day, and Joe accommodated everything seamlessly. He also made sure to keep our photographer in the loop on our timeline. Additionally, Joe would periodically check in with us about songs that guests requested and if we'd like to hear them or not.
I truly did not realize the value in having a DJ at our event until we met Joe. He made our wedding day exponentially better and easier and I would absolutely recommend him.”
